This morning we went to church and got to meet several new people. The original plan was to eat a pot luck lunch and work at the building all day, but we all decided to take a nap! Brittney and I slept from the time we got to bed until 10 min before church started. It was a wonderful nap!!!
I had a first today... I walked to church. My host family lives up the street from the church. This morning we left the house and walked in the snow to church. My host family does not have a car, so they walk or take a cab. They say nothing is more than a 10 minuet walk from their house. We have talked about going to the mall tomorrow. We will be walking there too.
Tonight I had to opportunity to spend time with my host family. We ate dinner together, but the lasagna took over an hour to cook. We sat around the table and talked while we were waiting. The youngest daughter, Karissa, is 11 years old and full of energy. She is so excited we are here. She walks with us to the church and makes sure we get there on time. The oldest daughter, Aliccia, is in high school. She has been in and out the whole weekend, and she will be working tomorrow. Tonight she had a few friends over and it was neat to see how they all interacted. The only son, Scott, is never here. He sleeps during the day and works at night at a pizza place.
Tomorrow is the first day of Bible Day Camp! I will try to post sometime tomorrow night!
